    my new sgians

At the west Tennessee Celtic fest this last weekend I took delivery of 2 items from our Member Steve Sanders of Tennessee Sgians. I now have a “sgian brew” to go with my sgian dubh.

This one is made to look like an obsidian blade but is actually some kind of plastic. When I saw it the 1st time I fell in love with it.

Well, just don't try to wear it through airport security or it will become the object of (yet more) discussion re: sgians dubh and security "gone mad". Just teasing. What does the sheath look like?

No sheath. I stuck it in my sock to see how it "fit" & there is no harsh rub.

Nice knives Dirk. Steve does a great job with those castings.

The obsidian one looks really good. I've never seen one like it before.

The obsidian one is very nice. I got one too and it does wear well even without a sheath.

Great looking set. The obsidian looking blade is very cool. Does it have an edge at all (is it functional) or is it for show? In either case a very unique item.
