Just picked up a new load of timber that I'm pretty excited about:
Banksia (Lacewod to my US friends!)
Alpine Blackwood
Sheoak (absolutely stunning timber)
Mallee Burl
Apple
Lemon
Pistachio
as well as a load of antlers, 2 of which are begging to be made into a matched set of dirk & sgian. Looks like I'm going to be busy out in the shed for a while

Trust me, I know exactly how you feel!

I often get excited over a chunk of timber, a piece of bone or antler, some leather, metal scraps etc
It takes a craftsperson to really appreciate to potential of these kinds of materials.
