Brogue Combat boots???
My father had a pair when I was a lad. He said he got them at a Surplus shop. He thought that they were Dutch or belgian. They looked like Black Brogues but were military issue boots. Has anyone else seen these? If so I would love to know where to get a pair.

Not sure, but I think I have been looking for kind of the same thing.
I am sure that during the Victorian/Edwardian periods there had to have been boots acceptable to wear with the kilt, have yet to find any outside of black, casual, hiking boots.
Can't wait to see what you find!

Look for these updated brogues by Duckie Brown at Florsheim's sometime in the near future.
You may also find some boots that appeal to you at this site for period clothing. The Stacy Adams shoes are retro-modern.

Rex.

They like them to much, they can keep those boots and go right on waking for that price!
I wonder how much of the time we get taken advantage of, stuff like this, because we are such a captive market. All be it a small one!
I'll stick with my trail shoes, and just wear my ghillies when necessary!

There are a large selection there on all the links. And a great many prices too.
Some very expensive. But as many have said here in the past::::::::::::::
You get what you pay for. I like the Franklin shoes myself with the thistle buckle, and at $169.00 inc. shipping that's not really not too bad.

I think it's reasonable to suppose that the Duckie Brown's are not for this market, that is to say the kilted rabble, in particular.
Good luck on your hunt.

Right you are Rex!
Peacekeeper, the regents on the bottom of that linked page might look good, wish they had an acual pic!
Those ghillie boots, lol, they look like they belong in a fantasy totture chanber weekend away dealie. However the ones at the top, now I bet those are what the Regents look like.
Just thinking though, perhaps those would make one look more like a real ghillie than a piper!
