Balmoral bonnets

The topic of Balmoral Bonnets has come up quite a lot these past few weeks,
I just thought it may interest you to know that the town of Stewarton in Ayrshire Scotland is known as "Bonnet Toun" for it is there that the tradition of bonnet making can be traced back for over 400 years, but today
Robert Mackie of Scotland is the last remaining business in the town making high quality traditional Scottish bonnets (Balmorals and Glengarries) that they supply to Scottish regiments, Pipe bands and Clan Associations throughout the world which they have done for many years.

These Bonnets are without doubt in my opinion the "Rolls Royce" of traditional Scottish headwear, being exceptionally well made the sit nicely on the head, not being to large and not small like many of the cheaper immitations, yes they may be more expensive, but you pay for what you get, and a Robert Mackie bonnet will last a lifetime.

Thanks Redshank! These are a little more expensive than the cheapest balmorals out there, but at £45.00-£50.00, including shipping, they are not that much more.

I wonder who in the USA sells these?

Keltoi Gaelic Clothing sells Robert Mackie Balmoral bonnets. They're not USA, but they they are Canada. I got mine there and Keltoi is good to work with.

I hear wonderful reviews on Keltoi service.
Checking the exchange rates on Keltoi and Dunadd prices on the Mackie Balmoral here’s what I came up with:

Plain US$ Diced US$
Keltoi CN$ 105 100.01 115 110.34
Dunadd GBP 45 70.62 50 78.47

And Dunadd includes shipping!!!!!
The service I received from Dunadd it getting my Argyll top hose was superb!
