I've ordered a new jacket
Let the Jones begin...I just pulled the trigger on a Prince Charlie jacket and waistcoat. I can't wait to get it. Will be checking the front door for the next week or two or three depending on how long US Customs takes to let it in from Scotland. Now, I just need to figure out an excuse to dress up and wear it! I'm sure I'll figure something out, even if I have to plan my own formal event!

Here's an idea. Wear it to your next Highland Games!

Oh, and don't forget your baseball cap that has Scotland on it! Now, you'll fit right in.

seriously though, enjoy the new jacket. A nicely fitted PC always looks great at the right function.

That's what I thought...Last year at the Father/Daughter Valentines Day dance, there were several Fathers wearing tuxedos, I was in a suit and tie. This year, it's a kilt and PC for me!

That sounds like the perfect occasion.
Just leave the "Braveheart" face paint and Claymore at home.

OK...For the record I do not own blue face paint, a claymore, an instakilt, or the dreaded white hose. Nor would I wear a PC with a T-shirt, flip flops, any of the above mentioned items, or any kilt less than a tank (which I do own).
In the past, I have worn my kilt to much less formal events (concerts, vacation trips to Vegas, local art fairs, the pub, etc.) I ususally wear it with polo or rugby style shirts.
I also only have a casual (brown leather and squirrel fur) and a semi-dress sporran (black leather and white bovine fur), and a stag handled sgian dubh. I will have to look for a formal/dress sporran and sgian dubh to go with the PC, as I do not own either of those yet.
I know the above posts were in good fun (or at least I hope they were)...
