Edgefest concert in Dallas

So Saturday was the annual Edgefest rock concert here in Dallas. Amongst the lineup was Flogging Molly, so I thought it prudent to show up kilted! Saw a couple other lads out there in kilts, and got stopped for a lot of pictures and chats. A few guys who weren't wearing kilts confessed to liking them or even owning one... one guy said he wished he had the stones to wear his out to a place like that

I wasn't expecting a mosh to erupt during the FM set, but sure enough it did. A rowdy good time

In any case, I know all you guys really care about are the pics, so here we go. A lot more pics were taken than I got sent back my way, but here's what I do have.

This lovely bunch of youngsters assailed me before I even made into the gates!

Hrm, too bad she's about half my age......

And one of my [new] friends that I spent most of the concert hanging with.

I keep waiting to see a picture with some guy in a kilt here, but for some reason I can't seem to spot one!

Behold the power of the kilt!

I will be at the KFMA Day concert this weekend in Tucson. Sounds like a similar concert event, and Flogging Molly will be here too. They're really the only band I'm going to see. I'll be kilted, and will post pictures too.

... I didn't even notice there WAS a truck behind us ...

AZWildCat... FM was amazing. It was my first time seeing them, but hopefully not my last! Have fun and definitely post pics

But be wary of the drunk lasses lifting your pleats...

FM was incredible!!! They were every bit as good as I expected them to be.

I never did get any pictures of myself to post here, although I was asked to be in a bunch of pictures, so I'm sure there are some floating around the internet by now.

Thanks for the warning! The drunk lasses did try to lift the pleats. Most just asked the question, to which I responded that only my wife knew for sure, and this went over pretty well most of the time. There were two separate incidents where very drunk and ill-mannered individuals were too persistent, to the point that we had to move on to other areas to watch the show. One tried to lift the front apron while her friend took pictures with a cell phone camera, and another one grabbed a fist-full of kilt and tried to yank it up repeatedly. Oh-well, not to worry, I think I handled it well, and besides, the rest of the comments were very positive, and the concert was great fun.
