Thanks for letting us all know the scarf is en route to the next mystery member. I am afraid that, like Jock, my geography and knowledge of places is not that good ... so I got no chance of even guessing your hints.

Before it goes to Ham the Man
perhaps it could make a stop with
Herm the Germ in Wuppertal, Germany??

Sorry guys, i love little things like this with the hinting at the next stop, so i tried to pick a place not to close to UT ( also if i send it one state over, USPS would have trucked the scarf to the next stop, and it would travel faster to someone a few states over, as then it would be put on a plain). but here is another clue.
The scarf is headed to the East of Utah.
and the "gateway" is a land mark........ i think now most US members will get it from that.

So who's the lucky member from St. Louis?
I wish I believed in reincarnation. Where's Charles Martel when you need him?

Off Topic for just a quick post:
That copper mine is HUMUNGOUS. I appreciate seeing that photo because my uncle drove one of those huge trucks in and out of a copper mine in Arizona. I've seen pics of him standing beside his truck but not one of the trucks looking like a tiny speck down in a copper mine. Thanks for posting that photo.
I now return the thread back to the original topic.

Santa Wally ... On the contrary. Your post is not off topic to me. I think its great that extra posts like this can be added about the scarfs journey around the world. It sort of adds more character to the whole thing, and interesting to read as well.

Oh come on, stop trying to lead me astray!Texas is nowhere near that big----you have to fit all those other States in that red bit you know and even I know that Canada also goes a lot further North than the Great Lake too AND is pink on atlas maps, just like the rest of the British Empire!
Jock now dives for cover.

I love this. Glad I didn't miss it. I was going to comment along the way but there are so many great photos! You ALL look super! So do the kids and pups and the bobcat statue! Like the comment about getting a scarf from the dog hair. (:
