Re: Tartan Car, Would you want one to go with your kilts ?

It looks like the vast majority of those here are saying no to a tartan car. But, this got me thinking. What about doing a Mini with a tartan roof instead of the usual pattern that you see on a lot of them? Not really sure I would want one myself, but will say it would certainly be more appealing than a fully wrapped car.
Mike_Oettle I think I see the same issues that you do with the wrap work done on the Mini shown above. It looks to me like there are quite a few bubbles and creases in the covering.

As many have stated, the problem would be the choice of tartan to use...

But then again, maybe someone could do as my daughters did when they decided my old (ugly) black (and rust) trailer was in need of painting. They couldn't decide so they painted each side different. It's most colorful and definitely unique -- although I would most definitely not go so far as to say stylish

Some of them look like off-brand biscuit tins. Only smaller.

It's been done -- and looks pretty good "on the bias":

Aesthetic Creations used to offer a "plaid" design among their vinyl roof options, but sadly it no longer seems to available.

They do, however, still have tartan bonnet and boot stripes ("Checkmate") that look pretty sharp!!

If you're going to do the whole car, though, it's good to bear in mind the importance of sett size:

There is also the famous London taxi (that is, one made by the London Taxi Company) that can be seen in Glasgow advertising Slanj Kilts. If I recall correctly, that one is in Royal Stewart.
