    Wishbone and Heather Pin

I recently bought a "lot" on EBAY-UK to get two kilt pins. Included were two small pins one of which was a wishbone and heather. It's much too small for a kiltpin but is very interesting. My question: is there a significance to the wishbone and heather together? I've tried to Google but no luck. Is it perhaps a symbol of "luck"? Also see the other pin. I don't have a clue what that one is. Any thoughts?

Which might make it a wedding broach of some sort, as a horseshoe is traditionally given to the bride and groom for good luck...

Could be. It was advertised as a wishbone and heather so I didn't consider otherwise.
