Actually that does mostly answer the question.
The Yaupon Holly would not count in that case. Just wondering from a discussion I had back during Christmas. Thanks.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Scott,
I love your leather sporran with brass cantle featured in your photo. I assume you have owned the sporran for quite some time? I am very interested in that particular style (18th-century style?) and am in the market for a well made, heirloom quality version.
Yours aye,

Yours aye,
Hi Kyle,
I bought the sporran about 40 years ago at the Braemar Games. I recently arranged to have something a bit fancier made in silver, and will post photos when it's finished.
In the 1950s the MOD actually issued a similar sporran with a frog mouth brass cantle; I think it was called the "Culloden" cantle but I'm not sure. These turn up from time to time, and if you PM me I'll put you in touch with a friend who may have one for sale.

Feathers...
I'd venture to say they are turkey feathers...they typically have bars on them like that. You see them from white and brown through many darker tan colors to all dark. There are many that feel, and perhaps rightly so, that the Turkey should have been the official bird of the USA.

They are more simular to a mature golden eagle feathers.
