The wee scarf then traveled down into New Mexico to visit the Boy Scout's Philmont Scout Ranch which is 214 square miles of rugged mountains in the Sangre De Christo range of the Rocky Mountains. Philmont has been owned by the Boy Scouts since 1938, and is the largest youth camp in the world. Both my wife and I and also our two children have had the honour to work here over the years.
I'm sure many of you scouters will recognize the following pictures.
Philmont's front gateway with the customary boots over the sign post and the Tooth of Time in the background.
A picture of the scarf saying hello to the Tooth of Time, which was a landmark on the old Santa Fe Trail, and the most prominate rock outcropping on Philmont property after Baldy Mountain.
And finally a picture of my wife and I in with the Tooth in the background.
I hope you all have enjoyed my photos. I can't wait to see what great things the next stop has in store for the wee scarf.
