The wee scarf then traveled down into New Mexico to visit the Boy Scout's Philmont Scout Ranch which is 214 square miles of rugged mountains in the Sangre De Christo range of the Rocky Mountains. Philmont has been owned by the Boy Scouts since 1938, and is the largest youth camp in the world. Both my wife and I and also our two children have had the honour to work here over the years.

I'm sure many of you scouters will recognize the following pictures.
Philmont's front gateway with the customary boots over the sign post and the Tooth of Time in the background.

A picture of the scarf saying hello to the Tooth of Time, which was a landmark on the old Santa Fe Trail, and the most prominate rock outcropping on Philmont property after Baldy Mountain.

And finally a picture of my wife and I in with the Tooth in the background.

I hope you all have enjoyed my photos. I can't wait to see what great things the next stop has in store for the wee scarf.

    Thanks for the pics...

I enjoyed your pictures and have to say the ones kilted look great, so get rid of the jeans. I am not obsessive about it but other than to work, not a choice, I can not remember the last time I wore pants.

Yes, yes, ok, OK, OKAY! Standard can lift his arms above his head and, er, well, I can't!

    Great pictures nonetheless!

Looks like you did a pretty good job Jock. I'd come to Scotland and raise a scarf with you any day. I think this might need to be the official pose for one of the wee scarf's photos at each stop!

What a great series of pictures, Standard! Traveling across the middle section of this country with such lovely companions (although I guess you're more handsome than lovely!) must have been a treat for 'our' scarf. Thanks for bringing us along!

    Safe travels!

Glad I did the "pose" when I had the chance too.

That is the U. of A. aquatics center on the right, and just to the left out of view is the basketball arena, and in the very far distance is a part of the Santa Catalina Mountains (Mount Lemmon).
