It's not a water gun.
It's a clear version of the Nerf N-Strike Recon CS-6 with the stock attached and the barrel extension not. The barrel doesn't really help with accuracy and it reduces the distance of the shot.
For this game I would suggest a modded Longshot CS-6 using the Big Bad Bow piston spring with the original spring, or the really modded option of taking an AR-16 recoil spring and trimming it and replacing the cocking spring with a heavier spring. Makes the darts shoot up to 100 yards if done right...... attach the Raider CS-35's drum clip and your set.
Yes, modification of Nerf guns is a hobby of mine.... we shoot at each other at work. Nerf modding can get serious (like the custom cut brass breeches for the Longshot I considered buying for $50 a pop.)
Just by cutting to allow a full drop on the revolving cylinder and removing the air-restriction in a Maverick 6 you could get a very nice (and REALLY portable) zombie blaster.
Shorter = better when you may have to leg-it or squeeze through a closing door/narrow gap.
I wouldn't give the battery powered ones a second look. Their range (from what I've seen) is terrible, and who wants to risk running out of batteries when you're surrounded by braying hordes of zombies. It's TWO commodities you now need to manage vs just ammo.
