Jock, I agree that you shouldn't have to post a thesis or even more than a word or two. Hell, I don't even care if you use the ***. There are those post as DixieCat stated: "someone can't post anything meaningful for 90% of their posts, the remaining 10% is not worth bothering about even if it turns out to be something interesting.", and never say much more. That is the point that I think is being made here.

Your post are nearly always knowledgeable and interesting and I usually enjoy reading your posts. I think this is the intention of the site.
