Museum
Hi,
For anyone following this thread, here’s a small update. I’ve contacted the museum at Ft. George and hope to hear from them soon. Drum Major’s sporran has been suggested a few times so I’m interested to find out if it is indeed. I had thought the sporran seemed too new and therefore not good enough quality for an officer’s sporran but having seen a couple for sale, one only this week, I’m starting to think otherwise. Combined with the belief that the sporran has only ever had one cantle and that this cantle has never been altered, it leaves me completely flummoxed. Awaiting word from the museum with great anticipation !!!
