Meerschaum dilema when kilted.
I have several meerschaum pipes and have a lot of bother carrying them when kilted.
As many pipe smokers will tell you these pipes can be rather delicate and tend to scratch even when wrapped up in a sporran and if you put them in their case tend to fill yer sporran entirely.
Has any one here encountered a similar problem and do you have any suggestions. I have tried using a conventional pipe but as you know the wood taints the tobacco. Any pouches etc. I usually end up just packing a few cigars in their tubes instead which is fine but sometimes only a good pipe will do.
