I'm on the same side of the pond as you, and I agree with Hamish. I think the look is too mixed. The shirt, tie, and waistcoat are fabulous, but to my eye almost demand a less casual look from the waist down. I'm thinking a wool kilt and a nice day sporran would be perfect.
Though Utilikilts may claim that their "Mocker" is the equivalent of dress trousers, that doesn't necessarily make it so. To my eye -- and Hamish's, as well, it would seem -- it presents a more casual look than dress slacks.
