The earlier thread that was mentioned contained two designs by McMurdo which were much more traditional, INMHO. Why couldn't those be "resurrected" for this discussion?
Some organizations do have a "crested tie"; i.e. the Anglican Society of King Charles the Martyr has a Jacobite White Rose on a Red tie as their official neckware.
