Good evening all,

Had a fun packed weekend. Last night the Navy Ball today the State Fair.

As any experienced fair-goer the first place we go is to the deep fried goodness. This year's must have is the deep fried beer. While we don't care for beer we did check out it out -

Amy's favorite, the deep fried cookie dough. Eating it is a bit like biting into an electric eel -

Even got deep fried lattes and margaritas -

And for those with an over the top sweet tooth -

Among the other treats are deep fried butter (a lot like eating a crescent roll with butter), deep fried peaches & cream (what I had), but the longest lines were as always at the deep fried Frito pie, as if it wasn't healthy enough to begin with.

A couple pics with Amy and me in front of the cars provided by the Fair. First time out in my new NWU kilt. Worn very nice and was comfortable even as the temp rose. The the "sporran" in this case is a tactical bag held on by ALICE clips. Though as always Amy shows me up.

In front of the Viper -

The Camaro -

For the 11th year in the row the Kildares were playing. One of Amy and my favorite celtic bands. Got to love rock and roll bag pipes -

Could pass these shots up of the 1st Goat Bahhhh-tallion. Didn't know the Marines accepted goats... -
