I take mine neat
Neats foot oil does have a tendancy to "bleed" onto clothing. One trick that has worked for me when neats foot oil is used, is to let it "settle" into the leather for a bit, and then paint over it with the white of an egg. The white dries to a soft sheen, and the oil does not come through it.
