Kilt belt and sporran belt possibilities?
Is it just me or does this look like it has potential to be converted into one nice heavy duty kilt belt and one sporran belt (if you add clasps at the ends)?

Looks to be a much nicer version of the Sam Brown I had in Middle School when my friends and I would play army on the hills and valleys.

I have a black one (not the shoulder belt however) that I use as a day wear belt when the time arises.

I think it would work very well and not a bad price for it either.

At that price, I might order one of each. The bown one might look good with the California tartan from Sport kilts.

I wouldn't use the cross belt as a sporran strap,
p.s. loads of cheap Sam Brownes on Ebay

What are your thoughts as to why not? I could see it being a plus to have the buckle near the front as this would be if the strap was short enough to keep it that way. My only thoughts would be that I would have to shorten it up to the point the buckle would have to go and I would be stuck doing some serious modifications to it.
