Why, thank'ee, Kit!
------------------------------

Benchmark Day, was going to just do heavy events, but I left my 22 hammer in the garage and wound up doing Open Stone as well, so.... Benchmark Day is where I warm up and then just do 3-4 throws in each event, resting more than usual between each toss. It gives me an idea what to try to shoot past at an upcoming Games.

21.5 pound Braemar: 25' 6" ...26' ...25' 6"...26' 6"

Not bad. When I try to go FAST the stone goes farther.
Woodland Goal: SHA Braemar is 22 pounds, so aim for 26+
------------------------------------------

HWFD ... 44.5 pound weight:
single spins: 26' ... 25' 6"
double spins: 28 (scratch) ... 27.. 26... 27

Woodland Goal: 29 feet with the SHA 42 pounder.
-----------------------------------------------

16 pound hammer: 84 (scratch) ... 84 (scratch)
Then I backed off a little bit and hit one...86, busted the handle

Woodland Goal: 87+

------------------------------------------------

Caber: four shots at the Whomper, which I could do *Nothing* with last year. I've turned it twice in practice so far this season. However, tonight I was The Man: 80 deg...10:00 ... 12:00 woohoo! ... 10:00

---------------------------------------------------

Open Stone - standing: 31...32....32 Glides were 29-31. Nyet. I'm standing at Woodland.

Woodland goal: the SHA stone is very compact, if we get the little gray one. I want 32 with that rock.

----------------------------------------------

Then Robert showed up and I helped him out and what the heck, took some shots at LWFD, though I was tired by then and inconsistent: 48...46...48...51...45
