I would point out that Jenkins is also a common Welsh name, and that there is a tartan for that name but, from your current avatar, I see you have already found it.
Regarding any of your ancestors' surnames, I would suggest that the best way to find out to what tartans you may be "entitled" is to trace those surnames back to a specific place in Scotland. This is especially true of surnames that could as easily be Welsh or English as Scottish.
