    Blended wool does make a difference, as long as its not polyester I suppose it is a lot better.

    No, the House of Cheviot hose are about 50% merino wool and the rest a blend of acrylic, nylon, and lycra (in order from highest to lowest percentage). No polyester to be found! :-)

    I don't know if it's possible to find anywhere else, but we have "wool" available in NZ which is part merino and part possum. I believe there is also one blend available which is part alpaca as well! (no synthetic fibres at all)

    It is lovely and soft, and I had these hose made up in it:
