Baldy, you'd better keep it out. You might need it between now and next September.

Re: Longs Peak Scottish-Irish Festival
I ended up getting over to the festival, too, but only for a little while (I had to work Saturday morning, so I didn't get there until after 3:00 in the afternoon.) I stopped to listen to Albannach and Brother and never ended up getting to the clan tents (sorry Livingston! ) I did have a great time though, and definitely plan on going again.
Wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the celtic music section, but it was from the Estes Tattoo...so I guess I'll try here first. I took this video of the Scots Guards at the Tattoo on my phone...and I was wondering if anyone could list all of the tunes they played. I know a few of them, but I don't know the others:

That's ok, it was very busy there that afternoon and I didn't get a chance to leave until about 5:30

I knew I should have checked here before heading up. My girls and brother and I headed up Saturday and Sunday. It was our 2nd trip up there and has become a new family tradition.

Re: Longs Peak Scottish-Irish Festival
I loved the years that my family attended the Estes Park games from 1989-1993. Even if it did snow one Sunday 6 inches during the second week of Sept. What I found sad was that every year I hosted a clan tent, benefits were decreased. So I have no idea what a clan tent rep benefits are today. But there is alot to see!I miss attending.

The entry fee covers space under one of the main tents, 1 table, 2 chairs, 2 tickets that cover Fri-Sun, and one parking ticket. Much better if you are a volunteer since you get entry tickets for the 3 days, parking ticket, and tickets to two of the evening events. It's been wild for me last year and this year since I volunteer AND do the clan tent. Next year I'm going to have to give up the volunteer portion.

Wow, if I remember right it was a three day pass for 2, special parking, 1 table, 2 chairs, Friday evening tattoo, and a couple of other things. They had a horrible booth furnished or you could bring your own. Cost was $30.
