Longs Peak Scottish/Irish Festival
Hey fellow Coloradans
Will there be a meeting place or even a meeting planned for us X-Markers at Longs Peak? My wife and I are going to get there late Friday night, but will be there all day Sat., catch the pancake b-fast Sun. morn and then head back. We really want to see the Tattoo again. How about it folks?

I'll be there!
Nulty,
I'm not a Coloradan, but I'm be there flying in from Virginia. The MacCallum Malcolm Clan Society is having their annual meeting there. I've heard some great things about the Estes Park Highland Games so, I've turned in my Frequent Flyer miles. I've been watching for this thread so thanks for starting it.
Looking forward to what the Rabble developes to have a meet up.

We will be arriving late on Friday and staying thru Sunday. We always go down to the parade on Saturday AM then head to the festival grounds. I work from about noon till close on Sat and from open to about 2 on Sunday at the piping competition. I get various times open during the day so it's hard to say when to meet other than at noon on Sat or you can just come up to the piping competition area and say Hi. Evenings we usually have tickets to either the celtic concert or the folk concert for Saturday. I'll know more on that when I get my tickets.

I've been to the Long's Peak Highland Games two times. For those who imbibe, the whisky tasting is the most fun one I've been to. Unfortunately, I won't be attending this year. You guys have fun.

We'll be there for sure. I'll meet with you folks wherever you like. I'm the big redhead in the kilt- can't miss me!

We will be there most of the day Saturday and maybe on Sunday before we drive back down to the lowlands. We should pick some time and place to meet.

I'll be there as well
My wife and I will be traveling to the games for the Barclay AGM. We will be there Saturday for sure. Barclay will not have a tent at the event so we will be spending the day wandering around. What should we expect in the way of weather?

Anything and everything. It is too early to tell right now for sure. I've seen it so hot that everyone not wearing a kilt was in shorts and I've seen 4 inches of snow on the ground. I've seen it sunny with not a single cloud in the sky and I've seen it so overcast that the clouds seemed to be sitting on the ground. Even with the variety of weather, it's a beautiful place for highland games.
I would suggest that you check weather.com or your favorite weather page on the web before leaving. Also, be sure to bring some type of jacket and whatever you would use for rain gear. Don't forget the sunscreen. The sun at altitude will burn you before you know it. Most importantly, have fun.
