How wonderful. I do so love the Bear River country. And what a great way to mentor youth and make kilts "okay."
Isn't there a raspberry festival or something up there around Bear Lake? Keep meaning to take a trip North to savor it.

Re: Kilted at Wood Badge
OK here is a story for the Uniform Police.
Last Thursday morning I walked into the lodge at camp not expecting to find any one there and was surprised to be greeted by the District Executive over Wood Badge, the Council Wood Badge Chairman and the Council Executive. (The Head Dude over Scouting in my area) My first surprise was when Mike Marchese (The Head Dude) Greeted my by name. I had only met him once, very briefly, two years ago. Ok I admit it I have a face people tend to remember. The next words out of his mouth were “ I love the Kilt” I proceeded to explain how the Kilt is recognized as Optional uniform for the Venturing Crew I work with. He raised his hand in a gesture to stop me before I could finish my sentence and said “You have my full blessings to wear a Kilt any time”.
So even though. I knew I was within the guidelines of BSA uniforms, to have the blessings of the most senior of my leaders was FANTASTIC.
