Ive never heard of these stores in my life. Just because a bookstore sells it doesn't mean they follow the "handeling" rules of the religion of the holy book being sold. Im sure the people who stocked the Qur'ans didn't properly perform "wudu" before touching them ;) Just giving you a hard time.
Father Bill, I meant to say thank you to you also for donating to your local masjid It warms my heart when people extend their hands to their neighbors regardless of race, religion, etc.
Also, sorry to the original poster asking about the Bible...I took over your thread. lol.

Re: bible translation help please
Just to remind everyone of
Rule #5
- Discussions on the topics of religion and politics most often result in conflict between members. Posts which quote historical facts or historical events are acceptable. Discussions of the rightness or wrongness of, espousing one over another, perceptions of, or personal belief in, a religion or political system are not acceptable. Quite simply, check your religion and politics at the door before entering.
We have received one report and would not like to get another one.
Thank you.

Don't worry, here in Canada, if it's somewhere and accessible to anybody in a store, chances are every rules that applies to it's handling has been applied.... (at least here in Quebec. There has been enough cases of mishandling and misunderstanding that now every precautions are made.... There's actually a comite from most religions that instruct people on how to manipulate/use/divide/etc most anything that has to do with religion.) ((Of course, there are people who don't care everywhere...))
Also, a lot of rules changes after it's ''out there''... (not saying that this applies to any or all religions in particular.)
I think I'll shut up now before I put my foot in my mouth and close this thread down....

Re: bible translation help please
Discussions of "rightness" and "wrongness" most certainly shouldnt be discussed here. There are members on these boards who are Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Pagan, etc. All of us are entitled to our own beliefs and they should be respected.

Hi Meghan,
Chapters and Indigo are 2 store Names of the largest book retailer in Canada. They also have a substantial e-store. They are akin to Borders and the like on your side of the border.

Unfortunately, as of a couple months ago, Borders is no more. Barnes & Noble and Books-a-Million remain, though
