Just BTW, to follow up on Riverkilt's post, it does take more material to cut a vest on the bias. Simple geometry (ha ha).

I have an Xmarks tartan vest-on-the-bias on the to-do list, but it is a ways down (and depends on how closely the coming-from-USA-Kilts PV matches the PV-we-already-have).
