    The wife reluctantly agreed that I could wear a kilt on a Caribbean cruise only because there would be another X-Marker and she didn't want me all grumpy because I didn't have mine. When you jumped ship, so to speak, she got this wicked grin and said, "So now you can take your tux." It wasn't a question.

    No worries. I've got another opportunity coming up in September.

    On this particular cruise there is only one and its a "semi-formal" night.

    On one of my last cruises I was going to take both a tux and a kilt, but between the two they filled up an entire suitcase and I didn't want to have to lug it all around. So my personal rule is either a kilt (with Argyll) or a tux.

    If I ever get to go on a 14 day or more cruise, I'll definitely take both as there will be at least 3, and probably more, dress up nights.

    On Cunard you can dress up every evening if you want.
