Excellent quality and good prices.
the Irish Caubeen here is very close to issue. The issue ones are a bit thinner and do not have the round rosette.
Now, a note from Jackson. The Canadian forces who wear this simply call it a tam. It is actually a caubeen but depending on which unit you are in it is worn differently. One way of wearing it is to shape it till it is all down in the front about like a flat cap. For the other style the soldiers buy them about two sizes too small and then shape them till they are almost beret type skullcaps.
Actually, the Irish Regiment of Canada (IRoC) DO wear the caubeen which is not the same as the tam worn by other Canadian Highland/Scottish regiments. It is the same caubeen as worn by the Irish regiments in the British Army, complete with rosette. I'm not sure where they get them from. Possibly the same supplier?
