Plus we all know it's more expensive to buy just one instead of the entire set. That's why I bought LPs, not 45s. (p.s., for you young 'uns, those were the things before 8-track tapes. What are 8-track tapes?)

Speaking of jonesing for the "Art of Kiltmaking", my wife ordered a copy for Fathers Day, and we're still waiting for it to arrive... *sigh* is there no end to the jonesing? ;)

I picked up a copy of "The Art of Kiltmaking" two days ago, when I'd stopped in to the Scottish Tartans Museum, as part of a week-long stay in NC.
I bought the book not so much in the interest of actually making a kilt myself, but to better understand the kilts I already own (esp. my nice Balmoral), and learn how to search for quality in the kilts I plan for the future. I'm very impressed.

Although I paid MSRP cover price, I knew the authors were getting their share for their efforts, and the museum/gift shop was getting its fair profit margin to support it's ongoing efforts. For this particular book, I had no reservations paying a fair market price for something of proven value.

STM, Celtic Dragon Press and Highland X Press all sell it for $34.95 US. For some reason, it's priced at $125 US on Amazon.com.

Yeah, that's the reason I was asking how much he paid.

I send books out as soon as orders arrive, so, if you ordered from me back in June and you still haven't gotten the book, it has to be lost somewhere. PM me, and we'll figure it out.

Yeh - Amazon doesn't prevent people from selling books 2nd hand at whatever price they ask. I don't sell through Amazon, so it's not me that's asking $125. I've actually seen the first printing of TAoK as high as $195 on Amazon! Someone would have to be nuts to pay either of those prices - all you have to do is search on Google, and you'll find it from me at the normal price.
