Not dirty, just forgetful, and certainly not young, only young at heart.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

It’s a personal opinion but as a Scot I don't. I've never said 'hame', don't live in an area where anyone does - it's a Lowland dialectal form of home and it's use on the site makes me cringe frankly – smacks of the Andy Stewart ‘White Heather Club’. Given that this is a website dedicated to tartan and highland dress perhaps it should say 'dachaidh'. :-)

I really like the bigger Tartan Ferret. But now the poor guy looks more like an otter.
Sort of surprised me when I opened the page this morning to do a search.

On the whole I can't see that it is much of an improvement, though thankfully it hasn't gotten worse. There is one glaring problem, though, and perhaps someone who is in regular contact with the STA can pass this along. They need to adjust the z-index of the menu so the longer drop-downs do not disappear behind the central banner image.

Good point. As I mentioned in my initial posting, if you see bugs that need fixing the best thing to do is to email admin@tasrtansauthority.com and bring it to their attention. Thanks!

Mac, on the 12th when you talked about the new STA site, I tried it out. I found a serious problem and I reported this to the site you mentioned. I just tried it again today, the 20th, and nothing has been done to correct the problem. It is exactly as it was more than a week ago. I did send in another report but wonder if maybe I am just wasting my time.

I haven't looked at the Tartan Ferret for some time. I'm happy to see that the Stephen-Mathieson tartan has made an appearance. I'm also rather pleased with STA's interpretation of the colours, which I would describe as "ancient" by comparison to the fabric I had woven. Very nice.
EPITAPH: Decades from now, no one will know what my bank balance looked like, it won't matter to anyone what kind of car I drove, nor will anyone care what sort of house I lived in. But the world will be a different place, because I did something so mind bafflingly eccentric that my ruins have become a tourist attraction.
