Yeah, isn't that cool John? Somewhere around here I have a shot of both of them together just before we sold the small one. I had captioned it "Ah dad, come on, I want to go out and play!"

Surgeries were mostly successful, but physical abilities have decreased by orders of magnitude. Shoulder problems and arthritis in my hands (mostly base thumb joints), are mostly the things that bother me from a hobby perspective. All this stuff has given me a much more positive outlook, weird as that may be. I'm just glad to be alive! Plus I get to read more...

I think we all need good luck the way things are going. Nevertheless, I feel pretty fortunate, and am sure looking forward to getting my new kilt. Once I get that, I think I'm getting one for the little woman in a Foster/Forrester tartan. Rocky says he can do it.

    Enjoy your day!

Frank: Great picture! Did you see your old Sunspot at the Meet n' Greet? Hope you had a good time.

I'm happy for you about your surgeries. It's always good to keep a positive attitude, if possible. My wife has arthritis (osteo, not rheumatoid, thankfully) in her hands, so I know it can be debilitating. Also, I know first hand about decreasing physical abilities. I still ride my mountain bike, and I tell everyone that sometimes when it rains my Depends swell up and I have trouble reaching the pedals.

Can't wait to see your kilt. Cheers!

    John

PS: My mother was a graduate of SUNY at Buffalo, but when she was there (pre WW-II), it was called the New York State Teachers College for Women.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Thanks John! I guess the surgeries were all successful, at least up to September 25, 2012. We'll see how it goes tomorrow. Yes, I do keep a positive attitude and a smile on my face. It's easy, as it doesn't cost anything!

The guy that bought the little trailer reserved a site, but didn't make it. Just as good, it rained and poured and got awfully cold Saturday night. That little trailer didn't have a furnace, our new-to-us did. There was only one trailer there older than ours, and that by only a year, and we were by far and away still the smallest trailer there. We weren't able to do much meet 'n greet because of the weather, but the puppy sure had a good time!

I can't wait to see my new kilt either John.

Funny story about your mom. I didn't go to college right out of high school (it's kind of a long story, don't want to bore folks). When I applied, I figured my only chance was Plattsburgh because my older brother had gone there and done real well. Turns out the primary reason I got accepted was because they were trying to even out the female/male population. Plattsburgh had traditionally been a teaching and nursing school with like a 7 gals to 1 guy ratio. I'm sure some brainy girls did not get accepted so poor dumb Frank could go. Oh well, things did work out, so all is good. But yes, a lot of SUNY schools were predominantly teaching or nursing back in the day.

I hope all is well down your way. Take care and have a great day!
