@Nathan, how did you die your hose? I'd like to give it a shot...maybe brown or claret. Thanks, mate.

Tintex dye for the blue and yellow. Coffee, green tea and merlot that had gone off for the camel colour.

I have a pair of charcoal Lewis hose and they are excellent go-with-anything hose. I bought red and tan garter ties on amazon.com, and both look great.

    "Dreaded"? really.

THIS is why X Marks gets the reputation that it does.

IMHO if you have some offwhite hose, then wear it, if you like it. I have some offwhite hose and I wear it when I feel like it. If you want another color, go buy it.

I think took my statement of "dreaded" too seriously. When I bought my first kilt I was not really aware that other colors were common for kilt hose.

I have worn my kilt with the off white hose and looked quite nice. I was mainly looking for suggestions to broaden my kilt hose options. I have 2 pairs off off white hose and plan to keep one pair as is and try dyeing the other. In addition a have ordered some charcoal hose and claret garters. Overall I think I will have some very nice options.

Thanks to everyone for all of the suggestions. X-marks is such a great and supportive forum and I value the things I have learned here.
