I will make every possible effort to join in; we definitely need to get together as often as possible--as I have said before, you are all very dear to me, and Life Is Short. I pride myself on having an adventurous palate, so I would bring something relatively exotic for the grill--Grass-Fed South American (or maybe Domestic Highland) Beef (and/or Bison), Ostrich Burgers, Filipino Sausage, Lamb Kababs, Cuttlefish, etc. As for beer, my Alone-On-A-Deserted-Island Choice would be in the style of a Belgian Trappist Ale or similar Heavy--yet perfectly balanced--Belgian Lager, like Affligem, although a good Scotch Ale would of course suffice as well...

Sadly, do to a prior commitment that I couldn't get out of, I can not attend. It sounds like I will be missing a very fine time.

I'm sorry I'm out. My daughters first bday party is that Sunday. And I'm working on a giant honey do list to prepare. Nothing I rather do than drink well made beer and hang with with you gents. Hope there will be another time.

I'm planning on brewing often this summer, I could even do a monthly brew day/cookout/gathering in addition to a regular monthly gathering

June 13th brew day
I'm brewing June 13 starting at 11am, a toast at noon with a brewing tradition, the hot scotchie...
The beer will be cold, the grill is gonna be hot, the smoker will be..... Wait for it....... Smoking!
Bring your kilted selves, and something to throw on the grill if you want.
Let me know who can attend and learn the 9000 year old tradition of brewing.

Unfortunately I can't make it either--at present I'm stuck working in Retail Purgatory until I find another "real" job, and we're having a big sale event this weekend. My apologies, I was really looking forward to it.
