    I am Kilted...at work!

Well, I decided to do it today. I have just finished my 2nd kilt (see the DIY section) and I decided I was going to wear it to work today. I don't have any pictures yet, but I'm putting it together with a black turtleneck with rampant lion embroidered on it, and with black day sporrran and black boots.
Comfortable but dressy enough for an office I think.
I've only seen one person, the secretary and she went nuts! She just loved it!
Later on today I'll let you know how the rest of the office takes it.
    Man this feels good!!!!

Holy cow!! This is a good day! I just noticed that I'm a Samurai!!

    Fantastic!

It'll take a few days/weeks for coworkers to get used to the kilt and get all their questions and comments out, but they'll get used to it and you'll be home free and comfie on the job.

Excellent; you'll be favourably impressed by the positive reactions of co-workers.

This has been so much easier than I thought.
I have had a lot of questions about tartan, how the kilt is made, what that "bag" was hanging from my belt, and so on, but it has all been very respectful, and encouraging. Lots of folks are just fascinated by the fact that I have made it myself and just ooh and ahh at the pleats.
No one has asked me "the question".
There was one lady who had to take my picture, so if she sends them to me I'll post it.

I am very encouraged! I will be wearing a kilt a lot more from now on.
One more hurtle for today, and that is that the wife called me up and asked me to stop at Walmart on the way home. I think that'll be fun too

I've got to say though, that I would never have considered it, if it wasn't for the support of the people on this site. Thanks lads (and lasses)!

    JimB,

A very, very smart looking casual outfit! I'm sure Hamish would readily approve.

Where did you get that great turtleneck?

    Cheers
