Talking If Scots food was invented on a dare

Scots clothing was invented to pick a fight.

The thought slipped in to my mind this morning while conceiving a new bonnet idea.

And I thought to meself, bonnet. Pom pom. Skirt. Blouse. Hose. Garters. That is how the world at large sees these things. No wonder the Scots are warriors... To go around wearing clothing like that is bound to attract trouble.

To top it off, I had a picture come in to my mind of a feral looking Scot in a great kilt asking "Ye makin fun of me wee blue bonnet laddie?"

I laughed so hard I woke my wife and dog up.

Here's to having a deep fried chip on each shoulder.

I had an acquaintance once (in a bar) who said that he'd never say anything smart to a guy in a kilt. I asked why not, and he said, "Anyone brave enough to wear something like that in public is too brave for me to mess with."

I thought it was pretty funny. Bought him a beer.
