Need patterns for GLENGARRY and sporran

Having finished my first kilt, and in process of revising a tweed sportcoat into a kilt jacket, I am in need of an additional couple of patterns. I have searched this entire site for sporran patterns and have found several but would appreciate any ideas, patterns or dimensions for soft style (Inverness or Rob Roy) sporrans of any type. I already have a beautiful black buckskin(7.5 ft-sq, 21 $ US) for this project. Also I need a pattern for GLENGARRY head gear. My mother used to be a millner(sp) and I have a good idea how to make hats but need a pattern so that the finished product does not look out of place.
 Thanks for any info.

I love to hear about those who endeavor to make their own kilt accessories! My advise is to go into a Scottish shop and fondle a Rob Roy for while... I managed to make my first that way, then modified the prototype for the second version. There was mention of a book that has a pattern in it, but I haven't checked it out yet.Perhaps the Glengary can be started the same way? Maybe deconstruct a low priced one and build it off that pattern?
Best of luck... pm me if you want some pointers that I learned the hard way!

Thanks for the great link, McWage. I'm a DIYer and this is a fun pattern.
I purchased my Glengarry from Celtic Crofts. It was quite reasonable. See the comments on Celtic Crofts here - Not sure if I'm doing this right.

Hi Folks,Thanks for all the info, both above and off line. I am making my first naugahide(sp) sporran in practice for the real thing in black buckskin. I plan to make my entire outfit, kilt, sporran, glengarry, flashes, and shirt myself because I want a complete outfit and I also am cheap (frugal ?). The kilt, glengarry and flashes will all be in brown corduroy, the sporran in black and I have yet to find the material and color I want for the shirt.
