    look. im 17. i still live with my folks and will till after next year. im still looking for a job since i was laid off because it was seasonal. im doing the best i can, with what i got. im sorry if that offends you somehow, but its not your problem ok? i dont want to sound mad, but im taking this one step at a time.
    i will get my kilt done, and i will get you all pics. (just dont know when!)lol. what i have right now is tartan, so give me ideas please!

    Note esp, the edges of the apron and the angles of the front side pleats.
    DO NOT skip on the underapron pleat, it WILL be missed if you don't do it.

    I STILL push Barb's book, if can fork over the $30 to one who sells it. It is MUCH better than any of the linked sites above in both detail, helpfulness, and completeness.

    Good on ya for even trying. Making a kilt the first time is no easy thing.
    I agree that you will learn more by trying than by pondering. Give it a go. Don't be discouraged if you have to rip out stitching. It goes with the territory.
