Dave, the idea of a longer parade and a free Ashley MacIsaac concert right after are very appealing. Unfortunately it looks like I will be missing it this year. My wife is working 11-7 so that she has Friday off that week and we can head to Victoria earlier in the day. The idea of taking a 3year old, a 5 year old, and a 2 month old puppy down there by myself just isn't hitting the appeal button yet. I may also take part in a St. Paddy's night curling funspiel, so it depends how late and how rough that was the night before
I am still hoping to find a way though. The new route looks great. My son and I matched in the parade the first year with Bear kilts.

For sure, I took my Daughter and Son for the first time last year. My Daughter was 4 and hated sitting in one spot for so long and my Son was only a year old and didn't know where he was. I was lucky enough to bring my Wife and Sister with me so I didn't have to deal with them alone. I don't know if my Kids want to go this year, I might try to convince them that they'll have more fun hanging out with their Grandparents , that way my Wife, Sis and I can go for a Pint after the Parade. int:

That sounds like a great idea At least I have the Victoria kilt night to look forward to on the Friday.
I would have brought my sister with me, but she is moving to Kamloops that weekend
