My story is a bit different - I wear a 34 usually, measured by UK's instructions and ordered a 38 - too big. Used the dummy-sizing method, ordered a 36, and they fit great.

Apparently I've got one of the oddest body shapes out there, my natural waist, along with my UK size, as well as my p@nts size are all the exact same measurement, 32"
