    Scott,

Its a sad time for sure.

Have been present for the death watch and death of both my parents. Know you'll value the experience - as difficult and sad as it is.

Went through the same thing with my Grandpop last summer. As a wise man once said "the waiting is the hardest part."
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

    Value every second.

When we found out that my Mom had lung cancer, the problem we faced was one of logistics. She was down in Arizona and I had a very demanding job up here in Colorado. I had been trying for a year and a half, after my Dad died, to convince her to move here, but she wouldn’t even hear of leaving the house that she and my Dad had lived in for 35 years. Some people told me I should have just forced her to move, but I thought it was important not to take away her right to make her own decisions. I’m still not sure if I did the right thing. We had been visiting her for a few days and left reminding her that we will be back again in just two weeks. Well, either she didn’t tell us or she didn’t know how bad it was because two days later, she was gone… all alone. It’s hard to plan for things like this.

Didn’t mean to ramble. Stay strong.
