Question for the Scots
For all the guys in Scotland: what do you think of the Parliment building at Holyrood?

Personally I think its an ugly monstrosity and a complete waste of money which could have been much better spent on health, education and public transport.

LOL! Now I have to look up a picture of it online because that opinion cracked me up. Talk about no holds barred

I really couldn't have put it better.
The building we already had was more than fine; It was a beautiful building with a proud history.
And there is NO EXCUSE for how much the new building cost.

Well its all going to happen again with the Olympics and possibly the Commonwealth games

It's very much a "Curate's Egg" - good in parts.
But overall it's a pretty ugly monstrosity, especially given the setting in which it is located and the cost of building it was totally criminal.
I am not sure whether Arlen is referring to the original Parliament building or the Royal High School which was the temporary home and which now appears to be going to rack and ruin.
