Hope to make it again this year. Was disappointed at the LACK of vendors last year and heard from some vendors that the organizers just weren't nice people for the '05 games so they didn't come back.
I go to shop and meet folks so hope the vendors are back this year.
And no clue either how I missed TatBrad and RetroRed last year. Maybe this year we should all go topless so we're easy to find, AND cooler!

Hear, here! As I said in a PM, I think that events like this fulfil the same need that fairs did in medieval times... and if the vendors aren't there, that's half the fun gone!

I'd be the one with the compass rose over my heart. Yes, yes, I know... sailors.

Hum...... what could we all do to our 'xmarkness' noticeable to other Xmarkers that attend the games in Flag in July?

Well, if they do that next run of kilt pins they were talking about, before then....

Judging from the weather/heat thus far.....
I'm thinking it may be very, very warm, even in Flag. Heck, I'm ready for a cold spell already

Just as long as its cooler than down here in the valley; I'm itchin' to get out of the oven. That reminds me of a funny little story.... Last year a bunch of us baked cookies in someones car during the afternoon show.

I just realized that the SCA's Highland War will be taking place that weekend also, so I most likely won't be able to make it again this year because i'll be there. Last year there were only about a mile away from each other which was funny, but I didn't get a chance to head over there.

At Grandfather Mountain Games we are going to wear a piece of red ribbon behind the kilt pin so we can be recognized by other X Markers.

I sure could use some good wishes, vibes, and thoughts aimed in the direction of my dumb car: been battling w/AC and cooling fan issues for a month now. If it's STILL not fixed, I'm gonna be in a pickle for getting up there :::: pout :::::: ::::::::feet stamping::::::::
(I don't supposed anybody has any contacts at a Ford dealership? I need a 'relay' aka Fan Control Module that they claim is "discontinued"?????)
As for recognizing each other - if it's anywhere near as hot up there as it is here down in the dusty broiler that is Phx-metro, I may contemplate wearing as little as possible (in a clean way!!)

Maybe you could take the airport shuttle to Flag and back...or the bus...or even fly if you're wealthy.
Still planning on being there and hopefully my daughter and the grandkids will be there too.
