Yea! another Opera fan I have a solid black kilt I reserve for the Opera. I wish I had a fur sporran to go with it like you do (green w/envy). A black rabbit fur sporran in on my wish list.
Some day I want to go to Baveria & hook up tickets for a Wagner weekend. They do the whole Ring Cycle in 2 days

Great outfit. I'm into unusual kilt pins and that one is definitely a winner. Do you have a website for the artist? When I google it I keep coming up with a screenwriter in the states.
Purchased the pin in Cambridge, Maryland. I believe the owner said she is the only person Susan is doing business with here in the US.
Here is a link to show the shop's telephone number and address. Susan received a very favorable review from the Washington Post a while back. Looks like her stuff could become collector's items. Hmm . . . maybe I should pick up one of her frogs, butterflies . . .
That is the best looking version of the Carolina tartan that I have seen! maybe its the lighting or the monitor or something but I find yours looks even better for some reason. Which mill did that tartan come from?
The tartan was an 11oz. run by D.C. Dalgliesh in their version of the muted color scheme. I received the fabric as a gift back in 1997 and sewed the kilt up myself.
I'm glad that it's found a new home and seeing lots of wear!
