The problem I have is that most of the Sonoran Scotsmen activities seem to revolve around bars and drinking. Since I don't drink, and bars are not comfortable places for me to be (see "I don't drink"), I have a hard time justifying a two-hour drive to come down for one of these events.

OH I didn't know that you didn't drink, and didn't like bars. I would be more than happy to schedule some kind of big kilted event in the next upcoming months, and we'll do it someplace other than a bar. (there will still be drinking) but we will most likely have another Kickball Tournament in a few months, or i've always to do some kind of volunteer work as a group. When we get closer to Christmas i think it would be cool to help feed the homeless and we can do it kilted if we want, but it definitely doesn't have to involve a bar.

I don't expect anyone to be psychic, so I mentioned it.

Thanks, that'd be great. I know I'm a wierdo, but bars just make me uncomfortable... I have a tremendous feeling of "I don't belong" whenever I walk into one.
