Not sure where you are in CT, but I just did a search and this came up:
http://www.newportfestivals.com/Oktoberfest/
Newport Rhode Island has one.
You might have better luck searching for CT Oktoberfest celebrations and see what you get. I used New England Oktoberfest celebrations as my search criteria.

Do I have to take along a sequined ball gown in case a fight breaks out??

Dia Dhuit,
Though it's a bit of a drive, I live in Kitchener, Ontario. Home to the largest Oktoberfest in North America, and the second largest in the world.

Maybe it's because Kitchener used to be named Berlin!

You are very right! For some reason, products stamped "Made in Berlin" were not doing so well in 1916! For some older residents, the name change is still something of a bitter subject as it was presented to the public as a fait accompli. Several years ago, there was an attempt to restore the name to Berlin, but the motion was defeated.

Kitchener himself was quite a controversial figure who wasn't universally loved, especially by the Australians.
I know Waterloo better, having stayed at the Waterloo Inn, and was sorry to discover that the railway to St Jacobs has folded when I did a little surfing earlier.

Yes, Lord H.H. Kitchener is so loved we have a huge statue of him in the downtown! Actually, I'm kidding, we don't. There isn't anything named after him save the city itself.
Yes, it's too bad about the train to St. Jacobs. Such is the fate of railroads in southwestern Ontario all too often. I never took it myself. By the time I found out its existence it ha shut down!
