Don't worry about your first kilted outing...it's not bad. Most people will respect a man who is man enough to wear a kilt. IF you do get a negative response; consider the source, and move on!

There are no rules or regulations for a spectator; you will need to buy tickets, but the main thing is to go, enjoy the sights and take it all in.
No worries about wearing a kilt at a kilt night. We have around 15-20 kilted gents in the Scottish society, so folks are used to us know when we go out in public.

Snipe Hunting?
Ill let you brave fellas handle the snipe. I will stick to spectating. I have family in St. Louie so I am seriously considering going. Sounds like a blast.
