    OK - Since you asked, here is the definitive answer. All other answers are wrong!

    Bottom of kilt pin is 3 11/16" from lower edge and exactly 3" from right edge, unless the pattern of the tartan makes the pin look weird, then start adding and subtracting 3/16" from right and bottom edges until it feels right........

    Of course not. Marines have no sense of humor I've been able to detect.

    Well, then you haven't been looking hard enough. Our best humor is when we laugh at ourselves!

    Without being able to laugh at myself, I never would have made it through boot camp.

    Also as definitive proof that Marines have a sense of humor, I offer the fact that they promoted me, over and over again!!!
